On Monday, Dec 15th The Jersey City Theatre Company is hosting a fundraiser at Puccini’s restaurant. Run by Co-founder and Artistic Director, Olga Levina, JCTC will eventually call White Eagle Hall home. As opposed to tearing down this beautiful structure, or converting the former gymnasium used by the nationally recognized St. Anthony High School basketball team into luxury condos, Owner Ben LoPiccolo and his partner, Olga Levina, committed to making a multipurpose theater, for arts and music venue that could accommodate about 400 people sitting and 800 standing in its main hall. [from nj.com ] In addition, Madame Claude and the former owners of the famed music venue Maxwell’s are both opening up restaurants in the building’s basement and will both host live music.
I hope that you will consider supporting what will really become an essential part of Jersey City’s art scene, promoting both a local and [inter]national scene. The official invite is below. If you can’t make the date, please donate at www.jctccenter.org
