1:50 Fiscal Cliff [Jersey City] celebrating the 1 year anniversary of their debut album Dog Years, is a musical force to be reckoned with in the NJ area. By invoking the some indie, pop, and jam rock influences of DIY rockers Dr. Dog and Father John Misty, along with masters of melody Ben Howard, My Morning Jacket, and The Growlers, Fiscal Cliff is ready to get a crowd grooving with a memorable performance.
2:40pm: The Gully Hubbards [Jersey City] The Gully Hubbards are an Americana band based out of Jersey City, New Jersey. They set out to combine roots–music traditions with modern themes. Their sound utilizes pop sensibilities and compelling vocal harmonies. “The Gully Hubbards blend traditional American music genres like country, rock and roll, folk, and blues to make something fresh and new without sacrificing authenticity.” (Summer Dawn Hortillosa, Hudson County Arts Journalist) The band includes Dave “Ace” Case (lead and background vocals, guitar), James Dower (lead and background vocals, bass), Heather Conrad (lead and background vocals) and Patrick Conlon (drums).
With their organic sound, strong melodies, and captivating live performances, the Gully Hubbards demand the attention of audiences. The band has been performing in the tristate area in support of their debut EP Day Dawns Clear. Their music is available on iTunes, Spotify and various digital distribution outlets. The band will be releasing material this summer, 2017. They hope to bring their music to as many people as possible and make a valuable connection with audiences wherever they play.
3:30pm: Eliza Neals [Jersey City via Detriot] “Henry Stuckey may well have invented the ‘gothic blues’ sound, but Skip James took it to the next level, Ledfoot gave it the name, and now, Eliza Neals has perfected it. (10,000 Feet Below)” American Blues Scene 2017

5:10pm: Désir Decir [Killing Horse Records] Desir Decir are not a classic rock cover band, they are not a group of DJs, and they are not a bunch of glue sniffing miscreants. They are a rock and roll band from Jersey City, New Jersey, the smaller, much maligned cousin of New York, and as a result, they have something to prove. Formed in 2013, they play fast rock and roll, have toured the eastern half of the U.S., and have released two EPs on Killing Horse Records. For fans of The Clash, Against Me, and Bruce Springsteen.
6:00pm: The RocknRoll HiFives [Little Dickmam Records] If you want to find the hardest rocking family band in the truest sense of the word, look no further than New Jersey’s RocknRoll HiFives.
Comprised of parents Joe and Gloree Centeno and their progeny Eilee, aged fifteen, and Evren, aged thirteen, the RocknRoll HiFives are the newest family rockers to break onto the scene. And while
hardly a brand new act, the HiFives released their third EP titled “the Beat the Sound the Dragon’s
The RocknRoll HiFives are influenced by a mixed bag of rock n roll, indie rock, noise, punk and super heroes. Music from the Beatles, Superchunk, Guided by Voices as well as the Ramones, AC/DC, and the Jam with the awesomeness of Evel Knievel and Spiderman.
The RocknRoll HiFives enjoy sharing their love for music and proving that you’re never too old (or too young) to rock out.
Roar” on Little Dickman Records in late 2016
6:50pm: Shithead’s Rainbow – SHRB Bayonne Nj theatre-esque rock punk music. We cover themes of depression associated with alcohol use in public.
7:40pm: Black Wail [Jersey City] Black Wail has been pushing the boundaries of blues, psychedelia and doom since its emergence from the chromium swamps of Jersey City in 2014.
8:30pm: Cicada Radio : Cicada Radio hail from Jersey City, NJ and have been a staple of the local music scene for the past seven years. Though they came together as a trio in 2010, they have since expanded their lineup, consisting of brothers Patrick and Michael Keefe leading the band on guitars and vocals and supported by the impressive and tight-as-nails rhythm section of drummer Josh Bartsch and bassist Brandon Barron. Citing influences such as At The Drive-In, Desaparecidos, and The Police, Cicada Radio have developed a post-hardcore sound that harkens back to the early 90s D.C. music scene but with a distinctive sound that is wholly their own. They seemlessly blend haunting melodies and lush noise-scapes with singer Patrick Keefe’s reverb-drenched voice like a chemically-induced fever dream. Michael Keefe’s delay-laden guitar leads ebb and flow through each song like an opiatic lullaby.
Their latest effort. Drift/Dream is due out in October of 2016. Their fourth release with Killing Horse Records, it continues the trends set by past records like Crime Waves and No Fate But What We Make. They manage to create music that is unique and exciting but feels like a hazy, distortion-laced memory of Sunny Day Real Estate and The Promise Ring. Cicada Radio can be found playing live around New York and North Jersey as well as on road around the county.
