First, a big thanks you to all my union and non-union friends who came out to last Friday’s Appetite for Construction house party, especially those who brought a jacket for the Jersey City Homelessness Advocacy Group. If you have a warm winter coat that you would like to donate, please reach out to them here.
Jersey City’s quarterly free city wide arts extravaganza, JC Friday’s, unofficially kicks off tonight [Thursday] at JC Fridays organizer’s Art House Productions signature event The Art House, an open mike event featuring award winning poet Jackie Sheeler. Art House Productions recently relocated to their new JSQ home on Magnolia Ave and hosts acting and dancing classes for adults and children. An on-line presale for their annual fundraiser, The Snow Ball on January 24th is available here.

On Saturday night, we will keep things in orbit as I am teaming up with DJ Matt U-check-off, from the Front Bottoms, they just returned from the land down under, and luckily, jet lag is keeping him up all night anyway. The disco ball gets turned on at midnight, but we’ll be turning you on when we start [insert winking emo-con here]
