I didn’t make the first one, but I am 24 years into this event that started simply as a one turkey pot-luck meal, there would be no parents allowed, until some of us started having kids, there was never more than two turkeys, until we started hosting this event at a restaurant, then when we started having left-overs from this event, we realized even a bigger purpose and mission and started collecting money and food donations for the Human Needs Food Pantry in Montclair. You don’t have to be a great chef to be a star with us, just whip up a simple side dish, and/or bring a donation and please join us next Monday for the 25th Annual Pagan Thanksgiving Feast.
Before hand, I’ll be busy getting avocados ripening for my homemade quac, and slow bowling some hams in Jello so a sweet bourbon sauced ham. To add a little extra challenge, I’m going to also be hosting my annual house party the following Friday. Oh let me squeeze in the Porta’s one year Anniversary on Wednesday | Ladies Night Thanksgiving and three helpings at my sister’s earlier. Just a real important note, to keep things reasonable, my house Member’s Only party will be INVITE ONLY so RSVP and get costumed up if you plan to come. We are hosting a winter coat/clothes drive for the JC Homeless Advocacy Group. Admission is $10, $5 with a clothing donation. Costumed [and you should plan to be in one] and Ladies get a drink pass for the Jonestown Paradise Lounge. There is free beers and liquor til about 1:00, then you can hit the bar. [if this happens to be your first party] Otherwise enjoy the music from outside. I have membership cards on my so, some see me tonight at Lucky’s or just find me at any event. Just a note I am looking for peeps all week to help set up and of course the following night to clean-up.
