Rock-it Docket and The Citizen Presents
Pretty American [fmrly Hemisphere Heart] 8:30
Playing their first show ever. JC Based Hemisphere heart plays piano driven rock songs. But not in a Billy Joel or Elton John style.
SPOWDER 9:20
If the Stratocaster-toting California rock groups of the 1960s had been inspired by hazy basements and chipped concrete instead of seafoam and smiling surfers, the result would have sounded something like Morristown, NJ’s Spowder.
Morus Alba 10:10
The bleeding heart’s an addict. We promote self service. We also do birthdays and bar-mitzvahs
Darkwing 11:00
Darkwing, named for frontman Rich’s fear of flying at night, has gone through various lineups over the past three years. In the beginning it was a solo project born of his paranoid and possibly schizophrenic neuroses regarding romance, deceit, and benign subjects like riding a bus. It has since evolved into a happy mixture of Nirvana’s bleach era madness and the Velvet Underground’s loaded spunk. Bassist Sharif adds unique delay pedal ambience on top of his skillfully performed counterpointal melodies. He also brings the necessary backing vocals to life with his own personal flair. Drummer Louis, a recent addition is exciting to behold. Seamlessly blending aspects of jazz, hardcore punk, classic rock, post punk, and good old L.A. Rock and Roll, Louis lays a heavy rhythmic foundation for the music.
